As Alexander Selling participates in hundreds of building inspections it becomes clear how frustrating it is for the site management to waste valuable time on sorting and creating reports using pen and paper..
An app for building inspectors called iSpect is developed together with the development fund of the Swedish construction industry (SBUF), and the largest construction companies in Sweden. SBUF only finances one IT-project per year.
The development fund of the Swedish construction industry (SBUF) decides to finance phase 2 of the project.
A steering committee is established, in the committee major Swedish companies such as NCC, Skanska and PEAB are represented.
As phase 2 with SBUF comes to a close, more and more construction contractors are asking for a solution to replace paper for their daily reports. To solve their problem, a third SBUF-project is financed, as the only IT-project for the third year in a row.
iControl is launched during the fall and the company wins a prize from SBUF for being the construction innovation of the year!
JM performs a case study where iControl is compared to pen and paper. The study shows that the time spent on paperwork is cut in half using iControl. Thanks to the recommendations of site supervisors, iControl now spreads to more and more projects all over Sweden.
The partnership with NCC intensifies as NCC wins the state contract to build and refurbish 3 hospitals in Södermanland for a sum of 400 million dollars. During the procurement process the state demanded an on-going digital quality documentation, and NCC chose iControl as their solution in order to compete with other offers.
As JM is evaluating iControl for their entire corporate group, they let two master degree students from the Royal School of Technology in Stockholm perform their examination paper on iControl, named 'The modern way of communicating'
During the on-site interviews at JM it turns out that both site management and subcontractors finds iControl to be easy-to-use and time-saving. The conclusion is that iControl enables company-wide insights and statistics for JM, which increases project quality and decreases cost, while also providing stress-relief for the site management.

When Alexander found out that one of Swedens largest construction companies was planning to building their own digital solution he saw his opportunity.
A meeting with company leadership was all it took. The result was that the leadership changed their mind and gave Alexander the opportunity to develop a mobile solution to replace the paper reports. That was 4 years ago.
With a family that has been working in the construction industry, Alexander has created a close bond to our customers and their challenges.

Anton is propelled forward by taking on large challenges. As a 15-year old, he ran his first company, and two years later he won his first state contract in the medical staffing industry.
As a 20-year old Anton built a cleaning service company to a first-year revenue just shy of $1 million dollars.
Anton later decided to study industrial management at the Royal School of Technology for 2 years until he quit school in order to join Alexander Selling and change the direction of the company to focus on iControl.
